NEC AdviseInc at the HCSA Annual Conference 2026
As proud partners members of the HCSA, NEC AdviseInc is returning to the HCSA Annual Conference on 18-19 November 2026 at the Telford International Centre.
The Health Care Supply Association (HCSA) Annual Conference & Exhibition is one of the UK’s premium events for healthcare procurement and supply chain professionals. Bringing together NHS trusts, procurement collaboratives, government bodies and industry partners, the conference provides a valuable platform for learning, collaboration and innovation across the healthcare sector.
This year’s theme, “Setting the Agenda,” focuses on the evolving challenges and priorities faced by the NHS procurement and supply chain teams.
Join Our Breakout Session
The Value Challenge: Measuring What Matters in Healthcare
As the NHS continues to embrace both Value-Based Healthcare and Value-Based Procurement, healthcare organisations are increasingly encouraged to look beyond purchase price and activity measures to understand the broader definition of value in healthcare delivery. The challenge lies not only in defining value, but also in measuring, evidencing and applying it effectively to decision-making.
During this breakout session, Edd Caton, Head of NEC AdviseInc will be joined by Mr Derek Pegg, Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Leighton Hospital to explore the foundations of value-based decision-making, including outcomes measurement, evidence, data, transparency and organisational incentives.
Drawing on insights from a collaboration between the NHS, the National Joint Registry and NEC AdviseInc, the session will demonstrate how a richer evidence base can help organisations better understand variation, challenge assumptions and make more informed decisions about the use of finite healthcare resources.
Date: 18 November
Session time: 11:25 – 11:50
