Our customer is a leading US based medical society that aimed to enhance their membership driven operations. To streamline the entire membership lifecycle, they decided to transition to salesforce CRM.

Objective

The customer wanted to build a unified platform to manage the end-to-end membership lifecycle without relying on multiple disconnected systems.

The customer aimed to implement entire membership cycles within Salesforce CRM to manage:

  • Receiving and processing new membership applications
  • Vetting and verifying application details
  • Committee based approval workflows
  • Member onboarding
  • Delivery of membership benefits
  • Ongoing customer support
  • Seamless membership renewals

Challenges

The customer faced issues with their legacy systems. It included:

The manual process – The membership application process was manual. It took significant time to vet each application.

Lack of Automation – Automating the existing system was challenging, especially in highlighting key data points for informed decision-making.

Disparate systems – It was difficult manage multiple disconnected systems

Solution

We successfully transitioned the existing system to Salesforce CRM by implementing the following features:

Automate membership lifecycle – We leveraged Salesforce’s standard features to organise member data and automate various steps in the membership lifecycle cycle.

Custom membership application – We built a custom digital membership application form using Lightning Web Component (LWC) framework, which allowed applicants to submit their details directly into the system.

Integrated payment gateway – We integrated a payment gateway within Salesforce enabling members to make payments online.

Automated Notifications – We configured salesforce notifications to automatically send alerts and emails to both staff and members at key stages to ensure timely notifications.

Data migration – To enable smooth transition, we transferred the existing member data from the legacy system into Salesforce.
