Northgate Public Services has gained Cyber Essentials accreditation, which helps us to guard against the most common cyber threats and demonstrates our commitment to cyber security.

The accreditation also helps to:

  • Reassure customers that NPS is continually working to secure its IT against cyber attack

Northgate Public Services is certified to the following International Standards.

Northgate Public Services holds the ISO 27001:2013 certification.

This standard helps Northgate Public Services manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details or information entrusted to us by our customers.

ISO27001:2013 is the best-known standard providing requirements for an information security management system (ISMS). The three main areas it covers are:

  • Confidentiality
  • Availability
  • Integrity

Many of our customers require us to be certified to this standard, giving them confidence that NPS’s Information Security Management System is protecting their data and is externally assured.

ISO 20000, is the international IT service management (ITSM) standard that enables Northgate Public Services IT whether in-house, outsourced or external to ensure that their ITSM processes are aligned both with the needs of the business and with international best practice.

ISO 20000 helps NPS benchmark it’s ITSM to improve its services, demonstrate an ability to meet customer requirements and create a framework for independent assessment.

Holding ISO 20000:2011 certification enables Northgate Public Services to provide a consistent approach to Service Management which is repeatable and continually improving.

Northgate Public Services is certified to ISO9001:2015

ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Northgate Public Services uses the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet their customer and regulatory requirements.

Northgate Public Services finds that adopting the ISO 9001:2015 standard helps it:

  • Organise processes
  • Improve the efficiency of processes
  • Continually improve

Northgate Public Services is certified to ISO 22301:2012
BCMS 637130

ISO 22301:2013 helps Northgate Public Services understand and prioritise the threats the organisation has and specifies the requirements for a management system to protect against, reduce the likelihood of, and ensure our business recovers from disruptive incidents.

NPS is certified to this standard:

  • Establish, implement and maintain a BCMS in line with best practice.
  • Confirm by external audit that our BCMS consistently conforms to that best practice and is continually improving.

The ISO 22301 standard applies the Plan-Do-Check-Act or PDCA model in the planning, establishment, maintenance and review of a Business Continuity Management System.
