Our latest Empty Property Review has generated more than £500k additional
revenue for the council’s busy team
The New Homes Bonus helps councils to focus their efforts on reducing the number of empty properties. For the last two years, we’ve helped Walsall Council to secure these funds through our end-to-end Empty Properties Review service.
Mark Fearn is the council’s Customer Engagement Lead:
“As a built-up metropolitan area, we don’t have a lot of space to be building new properties. We have to bring existing properties into use as much as we can and also to keep track of when people move in and out. This in turn helps us to maximise revenue.”
Our Empty Property Review service is a time-limited exercise that identifies properties that are listed as empty when they are actually occupied. We manage the whole process from end to end, including all data verification, customer contact, property visits and system updates, so that busy revenue teams can stay focused on their caseload.
