NEC’s ASSURE team has partnered with Cadline to offer a new and innovative gazetteer solution to the marketplace. The trusted partnership prides itself on delivering a joined-up solution, powered by Geographical Information Systems (GIS), all in a web browser. Cadline’s GIS completely supports ASSURE’s functionality and enables both teams to deliver this key benefit for UK Local Authorities.

The Partnership

Starting in 2022, a three-way partnership was formed between the London Borough of Lewisham, NEC and Cadline. The partnership prides itself on collaborative working, with a shared dedication to customer satisfaction. The collaborative working is built around the expertise of both parties, which are brought together to benefit our Local Authority customers.

Cadline possess a huge amount of expertise in sectors such as architecture, engineering and manufacturing, but it’s their specialist understanding of GIS, and the benefits that it brings to complement our software, that makes the partnership such an attractive proposition for ASSURE.

Together, Cadline and ASSURE help local authorities save time and resource in a number of ways. With our Gazetteer solution, the features compliment ASSURE’s searchable functionality, and the mapping features are enhanced by Cadline’s expertise. The partnership means the integration is seamless, with users having the ability to navigate within the ASSURE framework; there is no need to navigate between two systems.

All in all, the partnership creates an incredibly attractive proposition to the market and offers a series of solutions in tandem.

Collaboration for our customers

The partnership enables specific APIs to ASSURE; with two applications that talk to each other, our customers benefit from not having a daily upload file, with automatic live updates between all systems.

In bringing Cadline’s wealth of experience and knowledge in the gazetteer space, drawing upon their knowledge of GIS in particular, ASSURE is smart and agile, letting local authorities keep pace with rapid change. The collaboration helps keep servers up to date, and it’s a hosted solution in the cloud, too. Having the ability to remove old servers solves a series of problems for customers.

Looking to the future

The remainder of 2023 and beyond is set to be huge for the development of the partnership. ASSURE’s customer base are continuing to see the benefits, with more go-lives planned over the next calendar year.
