Why NEC Housing will drive major business change at A2Dominion

A2Dominion will be using NEC Housing to reset how they work and give staff what they need. We talk to A2Dominion’Chief Information Officer, Priya Javeri.

More than a housing management platform

In June 2026, we announced that housing association A2Dominion would be implementing NEC Housing. Chosen following an open tender process, it represents far more than a straight swap, as Chief Information Officer Priya Javeri explains:

“We see moving to NEC Housing as a business change, not a system change. We’re using it to inform what good looks like, and we’re excited about what’s ahead.”

Currently, a mix of legacy systems are frustrating A2Dominion staff and adding unnecessary frictions to their day. Once the implementation is complete, around 800 users are set to benefit.

Staff buy-in key to success

A2Dominion had been impressed by NEC Housing at the demo phrase, and a recent staff collaboration event mirrored this response. The platform’s modern interface and easy connections are being used as a starting point for the implementation, with the potential to adjust ways of working to match.

Priya explains the approach:

“If you design a system around how you already work, you can miss the opportunity to do things better. NEC Housing offers a template for what works, and staff have been really positive about its potential. We’ll be engaging them all the way through as their support will be key to success.”

Phased approach to implementation

With the data team busy planning the migration, work is also underway to strengthen cybersecurity ahead of a phase one go-live in 2027. This will see rent management and asbestos management come on stream, followed in a later phase by property management. NEC Housing Go-Mobile will also help housing management officers to work more productively in the field, with a connection to their repairs service providing accurate information.

Empowering better housing services

Priya sees the programme as empowering their teams to better support their customers. This means improvements to the customer journey are on the horizon too.

“NEC Housing will enable all kinds of benefits, and we’re in the process of documenting the ‘as is’ position to understand their extent. I’m really interested to see where this takes us, not just for our people but our customers too.”
