Innovation is at the heart of progress in the housing sector, and the Housing Digital Innovation Awards provide a great platform to showcase this. We’re proud to announce that NEC has been shortlisted for two awards in 2026.
The first nomination is for Most Innovative New Product, recognising our Vulnerability Analytics tracker. This groundbreaking tool was co-designed with early adopter Wolverhampton Homes to identify tenant vulnerability at the earliest stage. By predicting risk factors and enabling timely intervention, the tracker ensures that residents receive the right support when they need it most.
Our second shortlisting is for Best Customer Experience Innovation (Suppliers). This award highlights our solution for streamlining Universal Credit rent verifications, a process that has traditionally been time consuming and resource heavy. By automating this mandatory task, councils like Gateshead and Southwark are already seeing significant efficiency gains, freeing up staff time and improving service delivery for tenants.
These nominations reflect our commitment to driving meaningful change through technology and collaboration. Congratulations to all the finalists and we look forward to celebrating innovation across the sector in February.
The winners will be announced at The ICC, Birmingham, on Wednesday 4 February 2026. Want to see the full shortlist? Click here.
