West Mercia Police chooses NEC for new operational policing platform
West Mercia Police has selected NEC Software Solutions (NECSWS), to provide its new Records Management System (RMS).
The new solution, comprising NEC Connect, will transform how information is captured, managed, shared, and used, providing officers and staff with a streamlined platform. The force will be able to take advantage of the latest developments as well as being able to access new, innovative technology to build on the core solution to further improve operations and deliver a better public service.
Commissioning a new RMS has long been a priority for West Mercia Police so to secure a long-term solution means we can now plan ahead with confidence that we have a system that meets our needs. The RMS will help underpin everything we do as a force and make sure we can provide an outstanding service to the public.

Paul Eggleton, product and business development director, NECSWS said: “We are delighted to be able to develop this direct relationship with West Mercia Police for NEC Connect. Following the delivery programme, NECSWS will support the solution for a further five years with the option of extending to 10. The solution will be ready in early 2027.
